Located behind the village of Connel in Argyll & Bute, Connel Ferry (Gael: Aiseag na Coingheil) is an unstaffed single-platform railway halt on the Oban Branch of the West Highland Line. Now operated by ScotRail, this station is used by around 4400 passengers per annum (2014). It is preceded by Taynuilt Railway Station, 5½ miles (9 km) to the east southeast, and followed by Oban, 4½ miles (7 km) to the southwest.
Opened in 1880, with the final section of the Callander & Oban Railway, the station was enlarged in 1903 when it became a junction serving the new line north to Ballachulish with five platforms. This section closed in 1996 and the station was reduced once again to a simple configuration. There was also a goods yard and turntable. These were replaced by sidings serving an oil-storage depot in 1968, with an associated run-round loop, although oil has not been transported here by rail since 1993.
