A railway station on the northern shore of the Firth of Clyde, Craigendoran (Gael: Creag an Dòbhrain) is located 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of Helensburgh in Argyll and Bute. Opened in 1882, this station was originally developed by the North British Railway providing an interchange with Clyde steamer services operating from Craigendoran Pier. It once had five platforms and used to serve both the line into Helensburgh Central and the West Highland Line. However, it has now been reduced to just a single platform on the North Clyde Line. This line splits from the West Highland Line at Craigendoran Junction immediately before the station. The junction now includes a passing loop for West Highland Line trains.
Now operated by ScotRail, Craigendoran Railway Station is unstaffed and is used by around 150,000 passengers per annum (2016). It is preceded by Cardross Railway Station, 3½ miles (5.5 km) to the southeast, and followed by Helensburgh Central, a mile (1.5 km) to the northwest.
