Culrain Railway Station (Gael: Cùil Rathain) lies on the Far North Line, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) northwest of Bonar Bridge and 3½ miles (5.5 km) southeast of Linsidemore in Highland. It opened in 1870 on the Sutherland Railway. Now operated by ScotRail, Culrain Railway Station is unstaffed and is used by 1722 passengers in 2010, but passenger numbers dropped markedly to just 432 in 2016 following the closure of Carbisdale Castle as a youth hostel. It is preceded by Ardgay Railway Station, 3 miles (5 km) to the south southeast, and followed by Invershin, only a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the north northeast over the Oykel Viaduct.
