Situated on the Aberdeen-Inverness Line in Moray, Keith Railway Station (referred to as Baile Chè in Gaelic) lies on the northern edge of the town, a half-mile (1 km) north of the centre and a similar distance south southwest of Newmill. Once known as Keith Junction Railway Station, it opened in 1856 and once had four platforms serving the Inverness & Aberdeen Junction Railway and the Great North of Scotland Railway, together with the Buckie & Portessie branch and the Dufftown & Craigellachie branch.
Now operated by ScotRail, the station has been reduced to two platforms although only one remains in regular use serving a single-track line. There is a modern station building, some little-used goods sidings and an abandoned engine shed. There is a passing loop to the east.
Keith Station is staffed part-time and passenger number have increased from 77,030 in 2010 to just beyond 100,000 in 2015, although subsequently declined once again to 81,112 in 2019. It is preceded by Huntly Railway Station, 10 miles (16 km) to the southeast, and followed by Elgin, 15 miles (24 km) to the west northwest.
A second station, Keith Town, lies closer to the town centre and serves the Keith and Dufftown Heritage Railway.
