Kinbrace Railway Station

An isolated railway halt in Sutherland, Kinbrace Station (Gael: Ceann a' Bhràiste) lies on the Far North Line, 10½ miles (17 km) northwest of Torrish and 14 miles (23 km) northwest of Portgower in Highland. This remote station opened in 1874 on the Sutherland & Caithness Railway. Now operated by ScotRail, Kinbrace Railway Station is unstaffed. It is a request stop and is used by only 410 passengers in 2009-10. It is preceded by Kildonan Railway Station, 7 miles (11 km) to the south southeast, and followed by Forsinard, a similar distance to the north northeast.
