Rosyth Railway Station (Gael: Ros Fhìobh) lies on the Fife Circle Line, 1¼ miles (2 km) north northeast of Rosyth and 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of Inverkeithing in Fife. This station was opened as Rosyth Halt in 1914 by the North British Railway. It is now operated by ScotRail and is unstaffed. Passenger numbers have grown consistently over recent years, and it is now used by more than 350,000 people annually (2016). Rosyth is preceded by Inverkeithing Railway Station, 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the east southeast, and followed by Dunfermline Town, 2 miles (3 km) to the north northwest.
Direct goods access to the Rosyth Naval Dockyard is via a branch line which extends from a junction to the south of Inverkeithing and lies much closer to the Firth of Forth.
