Shettleston Railway Station

Shettleston (known in Gaelic as Baile Nighean Sheadna) is a suburban Railway Station situated on the North Clyde Line, between Shettleston and Springboig, a half-mile (1 km) north of Anwoth in Glasgow City. This station was originally owned by North British Railway and was opened on their Glasgow and Coatbridge Line in 1871. It is preceded by Garrowhill Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east, and followed by Carntyne, a half-mile (1 km) to the west. Now operated by ScotRail, Shettleston Railway Station is staffed part-time and is used by 699,048 passengers per annum (2016-17).
