An amusingly-painted rock in Millport Bay, on the southern shore of Great Cumbrae, Crocodile Rock proves popular with tourists. This natural formation, shaped like a crocodile, has been enhanced by brightly-coloured paint. The first recorded painting of the rock was in 1913, when the artist Robert Brown was thanked by the Town Council for his work.
