Dufftown Railway Station

The southern terminus of the Keith and Dufftown Railway, Dufftown Railway Station is located in the north of the village, next to the Balvenie Distillery. Once an intermediate station on the Dufftown & Craigellachie branch of the Great North of Scotland Railway, which closed to passengers in 1968 but continued to serve distilleries until the 1990, this section of line continues as a heritage railway. The station opened in 1862 and re-opened in 2001, now run by the Keith & Dufftown Railway Association. The station buildings are unremarkable.
