Busby Junction

A junction on the Glasgow South Western Line in the SW of Glasgow City, Busby Junction lies between Pollokshaws West Railway Station and Kennishead Railway Station. It is here the East Kilbride (or Busby) Branch diverges to the south from the mainline which continues to Kilmarnock. It came into use in 1866 when the Busby Railway opened as a branch of the Glasgow, Barrhead and Neilston Direct Railway.
