Cuningar Loop Pedestrian Footbridge

The Cuningar Loop Pedestrian Footbridge crosses the River Clyde between Dalmarnock (Glasgow City) and Cuningar (South Lanarkshire), a mile (1.5 m) north northeast of Rutherglen. Completed in 2016, as part of the legacy from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the bridge provides an entrance to the network of paths through the Cuningar Loop Woodland Park.

Built in 2016 by Robertson Civil Engineering for Glasgow City Council, the bridge comprises three spans with a total length of 99m / 325 feet, formed of pairs of braced steel plate girders which carry a timber deck, some 4m / 13 feet in width, a similar distance above the river.
