Kendoon Loch

A long and narrow reservoir in Dumfries and Galloway, Kendoon Loch is an expansion of the Water of Deuch, where it meets the Water of Ken, 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Carsphairn. Built as part of the Galloway Hydro-Electric Scheme in 1935, two separate dams run across the two rivers and the reservoir supplies the Kendoon Power Station 1¼ miles (2 km) to the south.
