Parish of Kirkpatrick Durham

Kirkpatrick Durham is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 9 miles (14 km) north of Castle Douglas and 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Thornhill in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 74.4 sq. km (28.7 sq. miles). Kirkpatrick Durham has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Balmaclellan, Crossmichael, Dunscore, Kirkpatrick Irongray, Parton and Urr.
