Parish of Kirkpatrick-Fleming

Kirkpatrick-Fleming is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) northwest of Gretna Green and 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Dumfriesshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 46.1 sq. km (17.8 sq. miles). Kirkpatrick-Fleming has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Annan, Dornock, Gretna, Half Morton and Middlebie. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
