Parish of AlvesAlves is a coastal parish, which lies in Moray Council Area, some 6 miles (9 km) west of Elgin and 6 miles (9 km) east of Forres in Moray.
It is located in the old county of Moray, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 38 sq. km (14.6 sq. miles). Alves has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Duffus, Elgin, Kinloss, Rafford and Spynie.
