Marnoch is a parish, which lies in Aberdeenshire Council Area, some 7 miles (11 km) west of Turriff and 9 miles (15 km) northeast of Huntly in Aberdeenshire. It is also known as Abercherder.
It is located in the old county of Banffshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 60.8 sq. km (23.4 sq. miles). Marnoch has 9 neighbouring parishes; namely Alvah, Banff, Boyndie, Forglen, Grange, Inverkeithny, Ordiquhill, Rothiemay and Turriff.
