St Andrews and St Leonards is a coastal parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 8 miles (13 km) east of Cupar and 9 miles (15 km) southeast of Newport-on-Tay in Fife.
It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 51.9 sq. km (20 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of St Andrews. St Andrews and St Leonards has 7 neighbouring parishes; namely Cameron, Ceres, Crail, Dunino, Kemback, Kingsbarns and Leuchars. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
