Parish of Gladsmuir

Gladsmuir is a coastal parish, which lies in East Lothian Council Area, some 4 miles (6 km) west of Haddington and 4 miles (7 km) east of Prestonpans in East Lothian.

It is located in the old county of East Lothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 28.5 sq. km (11 sq. miles). Gladsmuir has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Aberlady, Haddington, Pencaitland, Saltoun and Tranent.
