Parish of Mid CalderMid Calder is a parish, which lies in West Lothian Council Area, some 8 miles (13 km) west of Penicuik in Midlothian and 9 miles (15 km) southeast of Bathgate in West Lothian.
It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 49.8 sq. km (19.2 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Livingston. Mid Calder has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Currie, Kirknewton, Livingston, Uphall, West Calder and West Linton.
