Parish of West CalderWest Calder is a parish, which lies in West Lothian Council Area, some 6 miles (10 km) southwest of Livingston and 6 miles (10 km) south of Bathgate in West Lothian.
It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 86.5 sq. km (33.4 sq. miles). West Calder has 8 neighbouring parishes; namely Cambusnethan, Carnwath, Carstairs, Dunsyre, Livingston, Mid Calder, West Linton and Whitburn.
