Parish of Glencorse (Glencross) Glencorse is a small parish, which lies in Midlothian Council Area, some 2 miles (3 km) north of Penicuik and 5 miles (8 km) west of Bonnyrigg in Midlothian. It is also known as Glencross.It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 17.3 sq. km (6.7 sq. miles).
