Parish of BowdenBowden is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) south of Melrose and 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders.
It is located in the old county of Roxburghshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 31 sq. km (11.9 sq. miles). Bowden has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Ancrum, Galashiels, Lilliesleaf, Melrose, Selkirk and St Boswells.
