Sir Alexander Home of Dunglass


? - 1424

Noble. Born into a well-connected family, Home was taken prisoner with his friend Archibald Douglas, 4th Earl of Douglas (1369 - 1424), after the Battle of Homildon Hill (1402). Home gave land for the construction of Dunglass Collegiate Church in 1423, but just months later he left with Douglas to support King Charles VII of France. They were both killed at the Battle of Verneuil the following year.

His son, another Alexander, became the 1st Lord Home.
