Stained-glass artist. Born in Dumbarton, Clark trained at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1981. Noted for both secular and religious projects, his style is bold and vibrant, yet rooted in tradition. His work includes the award-winning Shaw Memorial Window in Paisley Abbey (1988), the Lockerbie Memorial Window in the Town Hall in Lockerbie (1991), twenty-two windows for the former Queen's Park Synagogue in Glasgow (1994), now re-installed in Giffnock Synagogue (2005), together with windows to celebrate the bicentenary of the University of Strathclyde (1995), for the Scottish National Piping Centre (1995) and the Glasgow Cathedral Millennium Window (1997). He was responsible for the window in the Falklands Islands Memorial Chapel in Pangbourne (England) and has also undertaken commissions in Germany, Hong Kong and the USA.
The University of Paisley awarded Clark an honorary degree in 2003.
