Allan McNish


1969 -

Motor racing driver. Born in Dumfries, McNish was successful in karting and motor-racing but failed to make an impact in Formula One. However he did win the Le Mans 24 Hour Race in 1998 and 2008, with 2nd and 3rd positions on five other occasions. Friendly with fellow Scottish racing champions Dario Franchitti, Marino Franchitti and David Coulthard, McNish now lives in Monaco with his wife and family. He has served as President of the Scottish Motor Racing Club.
