(Evelyn May Beatson)

1943 -

Singer. Born Evelyn May Beatson in Auchterarder (Perth and Kinross), Graham was educated at Perth Academy. Encouraged by her father, she was a member of a harmony group with two of her school-friends by the time she was fifteen and was soon a regular on the nightclub scene. Graham became a founding member of the New Seekers in 1969 and featured as lead singer on many of their hits including the No.1 I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing which, much later, she sang in the Coca-Cola 'hill-top' commercial, said to be the most successful television advertising campaign of all time. Another of their hits was Beg, Steal or Borrow which brought them second place in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Edinburgh's Usher Hall.

Graham began to further a solo career in 1974, finally leaving the New Seekers in 1978. The following year she married Kenny Finn, who had also been a member of the group, and the couple went on to further success.

She returned to live in Scotland in 2004. Despite announcing her retirement in 2000, she released a new album The Mountains Welcome Me Home in 2005.
