Malcolm Young


1953 -

Rock musician. Born in Glasgow, Young moved with his family to Sydney (Australia) in 1963. Unsuccessful at school, he gained employment as a maintenance engineer. In 1973, he founded the rock band AC/DC and soon included his younger brother Angus Young (b.1955). Malcolm played rhythm guitar in the band and composed many of their hits which appeared on albums such as High Voltage (1975), Back in Black (1980), Fly on the Wall (1985), Razor's Edge (1990) and Stiff Upper Lip (2000).
