Alexander Mylne


1613 - 1643

Architectural sculptor. Younger son of John Mylne (d. 1657). Noted for his sculptural embellishments to buildings, included the Royal Arms on Parliament House, which was subsequently rescued by Lord President Dundas for his house at Arniston. He died of the plague and lies buried in Holyrood Abbey.
