Douglas (Dougie) Walker

1973 -

Athlete. Born in Inverness and educated at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. Walker represented Scotland in the 1994 Commonwealth Games. He became the Commonwealth and European 300m record holder and was awarded gold medals for the 200m and 4x100m relay in the European Championships (1998).

Walker was subject to a controversial two-year ban by the International Amateur Athletic Federation after testing positive for the banned steroid nandrolone. Walker now lives in Edinburgh.
