Kennetpans

(Kennet Pans)
Clackmannanshire

A small settlement in Clackmannanshire, Kennetpans is situated on the north bank of the River Forth 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Kincardine. It once had an active harbour and took advantage of the local supplies of grain and fuel to produce spirit for the London gin market. The ruins of a distillery built about 1780 survive.
