Glasgow City

A village situated within the southern green belt of the City of Glasgow, Carmunnock lies 3 miles (5 km) northwest of East Kilbride and 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Rutherglen. This ancient settlement which is associated with the early Christian missionary St. Cadoc, has a mediaeval street plan set within the lands of an estate held by Lord Hamilton until 1700 and then the Stuarts of Castlemilk.
