The Village Inn, Kirtlebridge

A village of Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, Kirtlebridge lies at a crossing of the Kirtle Water and on the railway from Carlisle to Glasgow, 9 miles (14 km) southeast of Lockerbie. To the southeast is Bonshaw Tower, a former stronghold of the Corrie and Irvine families. It had a railway station between 1847 and 1960, one of many rural station closures of that time, but the West Coast Main Line still passes the village.
