A fishing village of SE Angus, East Haven is located on the North Sea coast, 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Carnoustie and 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Arbroath. Originally the village comprised two rows of cottages known as the Long Row and Shore Row, the Long Row later being cut off from the sea by the railway line. The railway station here closed in 1967.
