Kingshouse

Stirling

A roadside location of Strathyre in Stirling Council Area, Kingshouse lies at the junction of the A84 road with the road leading west to Balquhidder and Loch Voil. It owes its origin to the military road building between the two Jacobite Risings of 1715 and 1745 when its Kingshouse or military inn was used by government soldiers.
