North Craigo
AngusA hamlet of N Angus, North Craigo lies on the A 937 road a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of the village of Craigo and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Montrose. This apparent discrepancy is explained because North Craigo lies to the north of Craigo House and Estate, but with a new village being built further to the north to exploit the waters of the North Esk in textile production.
Craigo Primary School, once located here, closed in 2000.
