25 January 2009:
when I grew up in the village of Dunshalt,I was aware of the remains of a brickwork and pantile operation. An old bridge across the R.Eden near the site indicated produce possibly went to Auchtermuchty Stn,The pantiles must have been made in batches which could not be reproduced. I stayed at Cashmill Farm, on occasion villagers would come to search for replacement tiles form the barn roofs I was replacing. Non of them ever fitted exactly. Is there any information around of this operation? - William Brooksbank (willianbbillb@yahoo.co.uk)
