This article has confused two lairds of Panmure who lived 100 years apart.

Sir Thomas Maule who married Elizabeth Lindsay had family by her. He was born about 1430 and died about 1500 so not the Thomas Maule of Panmure born 21 Dec 1521, d 7 Mar 1600.

The latter married Margaret Halyburton (b.circa 1526 d.1602) who was the widow of John Ogilvy eldest son and heir apparent of James Ogilvy of Cookston who later became James Ogilvy of Balfour.
