Hello:
My maiden name was Margaret Joan Heggie, I was born in Wemyss Bay in 1923. I was an only child, my parents were Thomas Heggie and Mary (Daisy)Heggie nee: Cameron. I cycled regularly to Larggs and went to Greenock Academy. At the age of five I became familiar with the Skelmorlie golf course, my first commitment was picking up sheeps droppings for my fathers' garden, our home was called Raeberry. I married a Canadian naval officer in 1944 and emigrated to Canada as a war bride. I have many happy memories of Wemyss Bay and district. My last visit to Wemyss Bay was in 1979 to attend my mothers funeral. If anyone can recall an acquaintance or memories of me or my family I would be thrilled to hear from you. Best wishes
