Brocketsbrae


South Lanarkshire

A small linear hamlet of South Lanarkshire, Brocketsbrae lies immediately to the east of the M74 motorway and a half-mile (1 km) east of Lesmahagow. A railway station was opened here in 1866 on the Coalburn Branch of the Caledonian Railway, but finally closed in 1951. The line closed shortly thereafter.
