Cartland


South Lanarkshire

The hamlet of Cartland lies 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Lanark, from which it is separated by the Mouse Water. The remarkable Cartland Bridge spans the gorge of the Mouse Water a mile (1.8 km) to the south. The early 19th-century Lee Castle, once home to the Lockharts of Lee, lies ¾ mile (1.25 km) to the west.
