Located near the confluence of the Rivers Clyde and Nethan, the small village of Crossford lies 3 miles (4 km) southwest of Carluke and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Lanark in South Lanarkshire Council Area. Nearby lie the ruins of Craignethan Castle.
