Located a half-mile (1 km) northeast of Dunure, above the Heads of Ayr, in South Ayrshire, Fisherton is a scattered community that benefits from a small primary school. Dunduff Castle, which lies above on the hillside, forms the main focal point in the area. To the south lies Dunure Castle and the Electric Brae, while to the north lies the town of Ayr.
