Inver
Perth and KinrossA village in Strathtay, Perth and Kinross, Inver lies on the south side of the River Tay near its junction with the River Braan, a mile (1 km) from Dunkeld. A ferry once operated here and a former coaching inn still dominates the village square. Inver was the birthplace of two gifted musicians, Charles Mackintosh (1839 - 1922) and the renowned Scottish fiddler Neil Gow (1727 - 1807). Nearby is a woodland walk leading to a folly known as the Hermitage.
