Kinkell Bridge

A settlement in Strathearn, Perth and Kinross, Kinkell Bridge lies on the River Earn 2 miles (3 km) north of Auchterarder. A grand four-arched bridge over the River Earn was built c.1793 and alongside is a former toll house. A United Presbyterian church built in 1782 survives, as do the nearby ruins of the former parish church of Kinkell which dates from the 16th century. Dedicated to St Bean, the ancient parish church was abandoned when the parishes of Kinkell and Trinity Gask were united.
