Located within North Lanarkshire Council Area, the village of Queenzieburn lies 2 miles (3 km) to the west of Kilsyth and 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Kirkintilloch. To the south of the village runs the course of the Antonine Wall and beyond that flows the upper reaches of the River Kelvin. Chapelgreen Primary School is located here, with a roll of 65 (2010), while the small Queenzieburn Industrial Estate is located to the east. To the southwest of the village lies a small nature reserve.
