Aberdalgie

A hamlet with a church (1773) in a parish of the same name, Aberdalgie lies in the folds of the southern slopes of the Gask ridge which overlooks the valley of the River Earn, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Perth in Perth and Kinross. There has been a church here since at least the 13th century, but the current structure dates from 1773. Close by are Aberdalgie House and Milltown of Aberdalgie and a mile (1.5 km) to the southwest is the home of the earls of Kinnoull, Dupplin Castle, a Tudor-style building that replaced an earlier structure destroyed by fire in 1827.
