The hamlet of Abernyte lies in a fold of the Sidlaw Hills within a parish of the same name and is situated on the B 953 road, 11 miles (18 km) east northeast of Perth in Perth and Kinross. An old fermetoun settlement, it takes a linear shape and overlooks the Abernyte Burn.
