A small and scattered crofting township at the roadend on the northeast coast of the Rubha Mor peninsula in Wester Ross, Opinan is located a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Mellon Udrigle and 1½ miles (2.5 km) southeast of Greenstone Point. Confusingly, there is another Opinan 17 miles (28 km) to the south southwest.
