Kirkapol (Kirkapoll)
Argyll and Bute

A small settlement on the southeast coast of the island of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides, Kirkapol (also Kirkapoll) overlooks Gott Bay, 1½ miles (2.5 km) north of Scarinish. The Tiree Lodge Hotel is located here, with the Kirkapol Chapels behind, which date from the 13th and 14th C. Kirkapol Church dates from 1844, and comprises a simple square box with services alternating with the church at Heylipol. The former Free Church (1880) is now a private residence.
