Ruthven


Angus

A hamlet in an Angus parish of the same name, Ruthven lies near the junction of the Alyth Burn with the River Isla, just over 2 miles (3 km) north of Meigle. Ruthven House to the southeast stands near the site of Ruthven Castle which was a stronghold of the Lindsay earls of Crawford.
